London, 1940. World War 2. Oliver Kane's work surrounds him with death, but he is not a Soldier. He works as a Crime Scene Photographer for Scotland Yard and soon discovers his pictures are a window into the world of the dead. One day, Kane's collection of macabre images are bought by Bartholemew Gray, an elderly war hero. On meeting, it becomes clear that Gray's interest involves Kane, and not his ugly work...
